Position Overview:

Seeking a highly experienced freight broker to help launch a 3PL operation. This is not a back-office role—this is full-cycle brokerage leadership with the ability to shape strategy, process, and future growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Act as lead liaison between shippers and carriers

Book and manage loads using both internal freight and newly sourced customers

Build relationships, manage capacity, and maintain margin discipline

Establish operational best practices and identify future hires as the business scales

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of brokerage experience with a proven network

Background in carrier management, dispatching, and customer acquisition

Experience in launching or scaling a logistics operation is a plus

Proven leadership experience

Additional Skills & Competencies:

Extensive knowledge of supply chain management

Familiarity with logistics software, CRM systems, and spreadsheets

Strong problem-solving abilities to address issues before, during, and after shipments

Skilled in negotiating optimal freight rates

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with carriers and customers alike

Networking ability to build and maintain strong industry relationships

Proven sales track record to close deals and grow revenue
